Ce monument est situé sur le terrain de l'église Saint-Alexis à Rollo Bay. La cloche commémorée ici fut trouvé par un fermier dans un champ près de St. Peters en 1870. On a vite compris que ce fut la cloche de la paroisse Saint-Pierre-du-Nord, enterrée lors de la Déportation des Acadiens de l'Isle Saint-Jean en 1758. La cloche fut échangée avec une autre cloche de la paroisse de Rollo Bay en 1882, vu le grand nombre de paroissiens Acadiens en ce lieu.
This monument is located next to St. Alexis church in Rollo Bay. The bell that is commemorated here was found by a farmer in a field near St. Peters in 1870. It was discovered to be the bell belonging to Saint-Pierre-du-Nord parish, and had been buried on the eve of the Deportation of the Acadians of Isle Saint-Jean in 1758. This bell was exchanged for another bell in the parish of Rollo Bay, since this parish had many Acadian congregants.
